Paslay v. State Farm General Ins. Co.

(California Court of Appeal) – In an insurance action, arising from plaintiff’s suit alleging breach of insurance contract by defendant, the trial court’s grant of summary adjudication to defendant is affirmed in part and reversed in part where plaintiff’s bad faith claim fails under the genuine dispute doctrine and the evidence supporting that doctrine precludes the existence of triable issues regarding plaintiff’s elder abuse claim.
